Tired of hearing people moaning about road based Supermonos being uncompetitive Mike Edwards is going to try and take a £454 motorcycle bought from Ebay and with a limited budget contest the British Supermono Championship.
The bike's named 'Gordon'; been totally stripped down, rebuilt, and is now racing, so the concept is well on it's way to completion.

Gordon, he's alive...
So, now the bike's named - Gordon, and yes, for all you doubters out there, he does actually run. Keep coming back to check out my blog as I am slowly making progress. I can hear you all now - "Mike Edwards is mad..."
The SZR is a very nice bike and easy to throw around the track at 150kg. I raced one for 3 years and believe it or not used to put it top 5 of the sound of thunder. even 7th in my 1st supermono race still carrying starter and HORN!!!! lovely the starter thing.... aria
